Women belonging to farmers group put up stalls of organic farming products and income generation activities shops were displayed during the event. District panchayat woman member was the chief guest of the day. Directress Sr. Ajita exhorted women in her speech for their various skills and honoured the two best performing women.
Memorandum to Block development officer on toilet facilities
Prior to women’s day celebration the representatives of federation members were called to Jeevandeep Bhawan to plan and finalise the proceedings and programmes in the month of Febraury 2016.Ms. Kalwati of Meetoo suggested to take up the issue of toilet facilities. Many other issues were discussed. The members agreed to take up the issue on " scheme for toilet facilities". Rs.12000/-will be given by government and rs.900/- each of the beneficiary has to deposit to avail the benefit. Along with JCT staff we decided tofill the forms for the toilet facilities. Sandeep , facilitator was given the charge to do the needful. The forms were filled from 55 SHGs of and total 533 forms are filled. These were to be submitted on women’s day . Since the officials had the training on that day it was not done. They did not give up their efforts and on 18 March Ms. Maya and Shramavati along with two facilitators went to the block and submitted the forms and memorandum to Block development officer, Sandila. They went in their uniform and introduced themselves and sumbmitted the forms. The officer signed and gave the assurance that within three months he shall do the needful. Women are determined to do the follow up until the scheme is implemented.
